YWCA - GRAND RE-OPENING EVENT!

The YWCA Greater Newburyport is hosting FIRST SPLASH,

an exciting community event to celebrate the grand re-opening of our new health and wellness facility.

 

Saturday, May 31

10 AM – 2 PM

 

Bring your bathing suit and towel and enjoy our new lap pool and warm water pool!

Enjoy performances for the entire family by Peter Sheridan and Madeleine from Itsy Bitsy Music.

Share a cup of tea at our Tea Party in the parlor with children’s craft activity courtesy of The Enchanted Learning Center.

Participate in YWCA fitness program demonstrations in our NEW Group Exercise Room.

Other special events will include a treasure hunt, moon bounce, musical entertainment, face painting, craft projects, and other fun activities in the NEW Kid’s Clubhouse. 

Adults can talk with a personal trainer, check out the brand new fitness equipment, and participate in various group exercises.

Grab some cool give-aways and take a chance on fabulous raffle prizes!

Local food vendors will be selling refreshments on Market Street, including a make-your-own-sundae stand.

YWCA - GUEST WHO’S COMING TO DINNER?

One Night, Twelve Fabulous Dinners - - You Make the Choice

Join us on Saturday evening, May 17th, 7 p.m. for a series of intimate dinner parties in the homes of the Newburyport area’s most gracious. Each dinner features a Special Guest who is a performing artist or a leader in the business, medical, civic, academic, science, sports or arts community who shares his/her talents or insightful ideas during the evening.

Our Special Guest list includes NECN News Anchor Chet Curtis, Author and TV Host Keith Ablow, Softball Commissioner Bev Wiley, Independent Filmmaker Lorre Fritchy, Rounder Records Co Founders Marian Leighton Levy and Ken Irwin, and Union of Concerned Scientists member Erica Spanger Siegfried.

There will be parking available at each dinner.

Join us as we cut the ceremonial ribbon and celebrate the Grand Opening of the YWCA Greater Newburyport community pool and health and wellness facility.

YWCA - CAREER ENHANCEMENT

Join us for a three hour workshop based on Myers-Briggs theory of personality! Workshop facilitator Patricia Vallencourt of CareerSense will guide you to a definitive understanding of your personality style. Use this information in your workplace, home and the community by realizing a more effective and competent communication style.
